Emotional Exhaustion

Have you ever noticed how when you're exercising and it's comfortable and easy, that you're more jovial and conversational and connected to the people that you're exercising with?

And you wave to the cars driving past, that sort of thing?

Then when the exercise gets harder, more physically demanding- I catch myself being less jovial, less courteous and less friendly to the people on exercising with.

It dawned on me that it's the same when you're emotionally exhausted. When you're emotionally tired you just tend to be less friendly and less jovial and less connected to your community.

It made me think- every now and then you've got to check in on your emotional well-being.

It's struck me this morning that if you're not feeling good about you and life and your mental and emotional well-being then it's really hard to stay connected to those around you.

Equally, if you're not feeling connected to those around you, your mental well-being could be part of the contributing factors.
